Role Overview
The ministry assistant understands that employment is a position in ministry for our Lord Jesus Christ and it requires performing all duties and tasks “as unto the Lord” as stated in Colossians 3:23-24. This individual will maintain an attitude of flexibility; help foster an atmosphere of teamwork; perform duties in a timely and professional manner; bear responsibility for providing administrative support andassistance to full-time ministerial staff. All tasks and responsibilities are to be executed with the goal of supporting the Salem Church purpose, mission, and vision.

Responsibilities and Skills Required
Proficiency in a database management software such as Church Community Builder or Planning Center in order to maintain accurate member records and assist in the management of process queues, team schedules, and communication to support designated ministry areas
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in platforms such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office for creating documents, including all types of correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports, in both written and digital formats
Supply procurement, inventory management, materials preparation
Assist in the planning, management, and organization of seasonal/special events
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to multitask and excel in a team environment
Light reception work and office upkeep
Perform other duties as assigned
