Salem Global Link is one of Salem's new ministries, which is being established to help immigrants find peace and stability in their new home by ministering to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. It is a ministry designed to reach out in Jesus name, in culturally specific fashion, to the African immigrant community on Staten Island. Approximately 30,000 African immigrants reside on our island's north shore. In order to minister most effectively, we are partnering with our EFCA District and National leadership to train ethnic African immigrants who are already part of our Salem family to reach out to their surrounding community. Though the present foundation for the ministry is meeting on Sunday mornings at 10am in the form of a Bible Study, our goal is to begin an afternoon Bible Study and culturally specific worship experience.
