Our First Touch Ministries exist at Salem to provide visitors and attenders with that first smile and handshake every Sunday morning. They are among the most important ministries when it comes to making people feel at home at Salem. Look for these helpful volunteers when you visit Salem Church.
Parking Lot Attendants
If you don't live close enough to walk to church, our attendants in the parking lot will probably be the first people you meet here. They are some of our friendliest volunteers and are committed to making sure that everyone can find a spot and that traffic can move in an orderly way between the services.
Greeters
As soon as you enter the building you'll see our greeters. They are there to say "Hello" and answer any questions you may have about the church. They know the directions to everywhere in the church and would be happy to help you feel comfortable at Salem.
Ushers
Our ushers at Salem make sure that everyone who enters the sanctuary has a guide. This ministry is for men who would like to greet visitors and offer general assistance to our attendees on Sunday mornings. The ushers show people to their seats, hand out bulletins, distribute welcome packets to first-time visitors, and receive the morning offering.
